On Sunday we hopped in the car, headed out of Brooklyn through Staten Island, and made our way down the New Jersey Turnpike to spend the day riding coasters and eating junk food at Six Flags Great Adventure. We were quickly reminded that there are few better ways to welcome summer than running form ride to ride like 12-year-olds, working up an adrenaline rush while waiting in line to ride the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the world, and refusing to leave until they turn the park lights off. As fireworks lit up the sky behind us on the drive home, and we shared our favorite ghost stories and urban legends, it was an extremely fun day to remember.
