January is as much a transition as it is a beginning, and while galleries and museums all over NYC ready themselves for their latest openings, two worthwhile things to check out are happening right now. First up is Larry Clark’s 5 x 7 photograph sale at Home Alone 2 (one of two galleries run by Clark’s Kids star Leo Fitzpatrick) at 208 Forsyth street in Lower East Side. While Clark’s photographs usually sell in the thousands, he’s giving his fans a big thank you by offering a rare selection of one-of-a-kind snapshots for $100 each. Strictly for fans of the photographer and director, this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity runs through tomorrow, January 10th.

Just north of Houston St. at The Hole (312 Bowery), musician and visual artist Adam Green’s Hot Chicks is currently on display. Featuring a wall of Green’s work mirrored against one of his friends’ contributions (including those from Devendra Banhart, Macaulay Culkin, Alia Shawkat and more), Green continues the tradition of warping the female form credited to artists like De Kooning and Bacon. Hot Chicks will be on view at The Hole through Januray 31st.
