David Zwirner officially re-opened for the season last week with the late artist Jason Rhoades’ exhibit PeaRoeFoam. Created from whole green peas, salmon eggs, beaded foam, and elmer’s glue, Rhoades’ “brand new product and revolutionary new material” fills and coats an array of familiar objects throughout the installation. The exhibit also offers up step-by-step instructions from Rhoades on how to create this versatile and utilitarian product at home.
