basquiatblog

Featuring over 150 rarely-seen pages from the notebooks of Jean-Michel Basquiat, as well as larger scale works from the Brooklyn-born artist, The Unknown Notebooks exhibit currently at Brooklyn Museum is the first of its kind for the late artist. From sketches and poetry, to unfinished thoughts, we are momentarily given an even deeper look into the mind of Basquiat, who was synonymous with the downtown New York art movement of the 1980s.
