Issue five of the oakazine explores the concept of “transformation” and thus sought out the minds and images that we feel best embody this protean, ever-evolving concept. We went out to dinner with Casey Spooner and Adam Dugas, probed the minds of the new crop of young designers coming out of Seoul, talked to the singular and inspiring Russian activist-cum-artist Slava Mogutin, visited legendary curator Lia Gangitano, chatted with the ever envelope-pushing designers Henrik Vibskov and Rad Hourani and explored the work of new kid on the block Sandor Lakatos. Simon Burstall, Adam Franzino, Gregory Harris, Michael Kelly, Hugh Lippe, Matthias Vriens-McGrath, Michael Schwartz and Dom Smith also contributed their visual meditations on the transformation theme. it's a substantial issue, coming in at 10"x14" and 164 pages.
